Correction Policy

Correction Policy for IndiaAlert24.com

IndiaAlert24.com (hereinafter referred to as “IndiaAlert24” / “We” / “Us” / “Our”) is committed to delivering accurate, fair, and balanced news content to our readers. We take our responsibility to correct mistakes very seriously and have created this Correction Policy to ensure transparency, accountability, and trust.

Our Commitment to Accuracy

IndiaAlert24 strives to publish news stories that are factually accurate and well-sourced. Despite rigorous checks, inadvertent errors may sometimes occur. When they do, we respond swiftly by correcting the mistake and informing our readers accordingly.

Correction Process

1. Updating a Report

When we become aware of an error or receive verified information about a mistake in our content, we update the article accordingly. We add a Correction Notice at the top or bottom of the article, such as:

[Correction: Updated information regarding the incident has been added here.]

We ensure the corrected version reflects accurate, verified data. This includes text, images, headlines, videos, captions, or any other media formats.

2. Clarifications

If the information in our content is factually correct but lacks clarity or context, we revise the language and add a Clarification Note to ensure the facts are clearly communicated.

Example: “Clarification: The earlier version of this article lacked details about XYZ’s response. It has now been added for completeness.”

3. Editor’s Notes

In rare cases where a major part of an article is flawed or where ethical considerations arise, an Editor’s Note is added. This explains the issue and why the correction or retraction was necessary. Such notes are reviewed and approved by a senior editorial team member.

How to Report an Error

We welcome feedback and encourage our readers to notify us of potential inaccuracies. You can report errors by:

  • Using the “Suggest A Correction” section at the end of each article.

  • Emailing us directly at: editor@indiaalert24.com

We will review your request, verify the claim, and if found accurate, promptly make the correction.

Corrections on Social Media

If incorrect information has been shared via our official social media platforms, we will:

  • Correct the error in the post (where editing is possible),

  • Or issue a new post correcting the error,

  • Or delete the inaccurate post and repost the corrected version, if appropriate.

Take-Down Requests

As an editorial policy, IndiaAlert24 does not entertain take-down requests. However, if a party believes that a story is factually incorrect, we are open to reviewing the content, and if necessary, making the required corrections or updates. We do not remove stories unless there is a legal, ethical, or safety-related reason to do so.

In cases where public safety or privacy is a concern (e.g., threats of physical harm), we review such requests seriously and take appropriate action.

Use of AI Tools

We may utilize AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, etc.) to assist in content creation and editorial review. If any AI-assisted content contains incorrect information, please notify us. Corrections will be made promptly upon verification. Please provide details including:

  • Article URL

  • Specific inaccuracy

  • Suggested correction (with evidence, if possible)

Send your correction request to: editor@indiaalert24.com

Transparency and Editorial Integrity

  • We do not assign blame to individual writers or editors publicly.

  • Corrections are handled collectively as part of our editorial responsibility.

  • All changes are made with the goal of maintaining the highest journalistic standards.
